Our laboratory engages in research with ethnically, racially, and socio-economically diverse families and children from all across our community. Therefore, it is important for us, as scientists, to have representation from diverse voices and perspectives as we plan and discuss our studies. It is also important for children visiting our lab to see researchers that they can relate to. Our lab group is very active and committed to racial equity and to fostering and upholding an inclusive community that welcomes and supports individuals from all social identity groups. We value diversity, equity, and inclusion as integral to providing a supportive environment for excellence in training and in producing informed and meaningful science.
